Tim Mulley
Tim is a partner of the Scrutton Bland Group responsible for the Insurance Broking Division. He manages a team of thirty-five people in Colchester and Diss who specialise in Corporate Insurances and Personal Insurances for High Net Worth individuals, handling approx £10 Million in premium income. Tim has over 15 years experience as an Insurance Broker and previously as a Commercial Insurances underwriter at a leading UK insurance company.
Simon McKay
Simon joined Scrutton Bland Ltd in 1995. He has over 28 years experience in Commercial and Corporate Insurance Broking Services. Simon has a sound understanding of the Insurance market and expertise to advise on the likely risks associated with any particular firm or business. Advice can be given on different activity risks, which generate different issues. Simon is responsible for all matters relating to the managing on a daily basis including renewal negotiations for our corporate and commercial clients.
Tim Long
Tim joined the insurance broking division of Scrutton Bland Ltd following the integration of SoleBay Insurance in 2005, to build on our already extensive involvement with the East Anglian farming, estate and land-owning fraternity. Tim has previously worked for specialist agricultural Insurance Brokers and underwriters advising clients and professionals on general and technical aspects of agricultural, estate and rural insurance. In 2000, Tim was a founder of SoleBay Insurance Brokers offering agricultural, commercial and larger household insurance solutions to the business and land-owning community throughout East Anglia.
Stuart Mills
Stuart became a Director of Scrutton Bland Ltd in 2003 and is based at our Colchester office. He has been an insurance broker for over 20 years, joining Scrutton Bland Ltd in December 2001. Stuart advises and arranges all necessary insurances for a very diverse portfolio of corporate clients mostly between £1M & £50M turnover.
Jason Harden Cert CII
Jason joined Scrutton Bland in January 2005, previously a Director of his own Insurance Brokerage of 15 years where he gained extensive experience on all aspects of commercial and personal insurances. Jason is now an our Personal Lines Manager overseeing day to day operations and strategic growth opportunities. Jason's personal approach is to build relationships with clients that has seen the majority of his clients remain with him for over 20 years.
Daniel Bligh
Dan joined Scrutton Bland Ltd in 2004 as a Commercial Account Handler, which involved dealing with all aspects of existing business. He is now a Commercial Account Executive, running a portfolio of business and also handles new business enquiries, including commercial combined, fleet, liability, property, engineering and various other areas of insurance. Meeting with clients is not always essential, but detailed discussions are absolutely necessary in order to provide insurance policies, which accurately reflects their business. Dan's knowledge of the market and professional approach ensures competitive terms with established insurers.
Gill Saul
Gill joined Scrutton Bland in November 2007. She is an Account Executive with a portfolio of clients, also focussing on commercial new business enquiries. Before joining us Gill was an Account Manager for a major insurer for 15 years and has brought with her an in depth knowledge of the insurance market together with her technical expertise.
Emma Mitchell
Emma is our Private Client Account Executive and as such is ultimately responsible for all aspects of our Private Client's insurance portfolio. Emma has worked for Scrutton Bland for over 12 years and within the last 6 years, specialising in Private Clients. Emma's personal approach enables her to understand our clients, their way of life and their insurance requirements, meeting them wherever possible. Emma is experienced in all aspects of Private Client Insurance and is happy to offer an obligation free quotation or confidential advice, both over the telephone or visiting your home. Shirley Greer
Shirley Greer works in our Colchester office as an Account Executive managing a Commercial Insurances portfolio. Shirley’s clients are from all different sectors. She has over 15 years experience in handling insurance for local businesses, most recently working for a local Insurance broker where she developed a particularly good understanding of the Charity & Heritage sectors.
